Books and Film by Stefne

I’ve been telling stories a lot longer than I’ve been telling them on social media.

Before Covert Fandom, before BTS took me around the world, and before I started documenting this very strange and wonderful chapter of my life, I was a novelist and screenwriter.

Some of these stories are fiction. Some are deeply personal. One became a movie. And my newest one became something I’m not sure fits neatly into any category at all.

Turns out, I’ve always been telling stories. I just keep finding new ways to do it.

THE NEWEST STORY — Anyhoo: Notes From the Best Midlife Crisis Ever

What happens when you decide to stop watching your life from the sidelines and actually go live it?

Anyhoo: Notes From the Best Midlife Crisis Ever is my visual memoir of the five-and-a-half months I spent following BTS across the United States, traveling to South Korea, meeting people I never would have met otherwise, and discovering that somewhere along the way, the story stopped being about concerts.

It became a story about grief. Friendship. Getting older. Taking chances. Saying yes. Getting hurt. Getting back up. And realizing that the life you thought you were supposed to have isn't necessarily the life you're meant to live.

Told through my own footage, photographs, memories and narration, Anyhoo is part memoir, part travel diary, and part love letter to what can happen when you decide you're not done becoming someone new.

FEATURED BOOK — I Just Woke Up

This is the most personal thing I’ve ever written.

It’s not just about BTS.
It’s about what happens when something finally breaks through the noise of your life and reminds you who you are.

Inside, I share:

  • My journey through burnout, identity loss, and rediscovery
  • The unexpected way BTS became a catalyst for change
  • What it really means to start living your life both fully and unapologetically

This book is for anyone who feels like they’ve been:

  • Living in the background of their own life
  • Playing roles instead of writing their own story
  • Ready for something more

FEATURED BOOK — Collision

What happens when two completely different worlds meet—and everything changes

Before everything you see now… there was this story.

Collision follows Cabot, a man with fame, success, and everything the world says should matter… and Kei, a young woman living out her faith in the middle of real-world hardship.

When their lives intersect, it becomes a collision of:

  • Identity and purpose
  • Truth and illusion
  • Faith and control

And nothing stays the same.

Originally written in 2009, I’m making this book available again because its message still matters.

Maybe now more than ever.

FILM FEATURE

Annabelle Hooper and the Ghosts of Nantucket
A story of mystery, friendship, and finding your voice.

I was brought on to rewrite Annabelle Hooper and the Ghosts of Nantucket—originally written as a children’s adventure—and help shape it into something deeper:

A coming-of-age story about identity, courage, and stepping into who you’re meant to be.

Set on the island of Nantucket, the film follows Annabelle, a young mystery writer determined to prove herself, as she uncovers secrets, faces her fears, and learns that the greatest story she’ll ever write… is her own.

But beneath the adventure and ghost story is something more:

  • Finding your voice
  • Learning to trust yourself
  • Stepping out of the shadows and into your story

If those themes feel familiar… they should.

They’re woven into everything I create.
